• Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours

• If your flame is high or your candle starts to soot that means your wick is too long 

• Try to keep your candle out of a drafty area to prevent soot 

• Avoid touching or moving your candle while it is burning

• Cut your wick before every burn
